All their manufacturing jobs are done in the U.S. but in order to stay competitive, they import most of their component parts overseas. As a result, some of their previous machines have had some quality issues.
At present, Keys Fitness owns at least 6 treadmill brands with each of them catering different needs and budgets. These brands include Alliance, Encore, and Health Trainer just to name a few. It is also the manufacturer of Smooth Treadmills (but they don’t own it), which are primarily sold over the internet.
Ironman Treadmills Prices
As it have been mentioned above, Ironman treadmills are usually low to mid-priced machines. They range from as low as $800 to as high as $1,500. But they also have a few premium treadmills that are priced for $2,000.
Just like their other brands, Keys Fitness is also offering their classic 10-year motor warranty in all Ironman units. (Even the cheap ones) Other warranties include lifetime for frames, 2 years for parts and 1 year for labor.
Like most brands from Keys Fitness, the biggest weakness of these machines is their finish quality. Other than that, these are good treadmills to own.
Unfortunately, these treadmills are new in the market; therefore there isn’t much research on the resilience or durability of Iron Man treadmills. It is important to mention that these treadmills are reportedly manufactured in China. This can pose a problem for customer service or the speeding process of repairs. Nonetheless, a warranty is a warranty, regardless where the treadmill is manufactured.
A second weak point is its warranty. As mentioned before, treadmill warranties are a good measuring tool for the quality. Although Iron man treadmills are not top of the line, they offer a below average warranty. Most will have lifetime on frame, 10 years on motor, 2 years on parts, and 1 on labor.
If you can get them on sale, I would recommend those lower priced Ironman treadmills. These cheaper models are usually an excellent bargain when sold at a discounted price.

“I was careful placing it and didn’t try and drag the equipment across the mat to straighten it (as I had read reviews about the mat tearing) but it does exactly what I would expect it to do. It protects my carpet from sweat and limits the amount of carpet fibers that can get into the mechanisms. I thought it might scoot around a little as I use the machine, but that doesn’t seem to be the case either.
I’m not sure what other reviewers are doing with this mat and maybe I just had low expectations but this seems perfectly suited to for its purpose. I have a heavy elliptical (Schwann 438 – which is great by the way) on new carpet with thick carpet padding.
I’m glad I didn’t spend more money on one of the other options, because I don’t really see the need for anything different.”
