Horizon T700 Treadmill with 11 Workout Programs
Horizon Fitness treadmills is a popular brand in the fitness equipment market, produced by Johnson Tech, Inc., the same company that makes Cateye, Matrix and Vision treadmills. They have been manufacturing fitness equipment for both home and commercial use for the last 25 years.
The Horizon T700 treadmill features a good 2.25 CHP motor with enough power to sustain medium training sessions. At the same time it makes very little noise. The machine comes with a decent running space backed by a reliable cushioning system.
Training Features of Horizon T700
This model includes cool training features like: 11 built in workouts that cover all training area plus the ETRAK system to help reach the proposed goals.
This is budget treadmill so don’t expect to get a very good warranty. Make sure you go for the extended version if you decide to buy this model.
Built In Speakers the T700 treadmill features two good speakers installed in the console. The sound system includes Mp3 input to play favorite tunes.
ETRAK System Monitors
The ETRAK system monitors training sessions, gathers all data and displays various reports for: average workout, last workout or lifetime reports.
11 Preset Workouts
This machine comes with 11 built in workouts that cover fitness exercises, weight lost or performance training.
The Horizon T700 Treadmill is a Dick’s Sporting Goods exclusive. Manufacturers will create a treadmill or elliptical trainer for a specific manufacturer so the retailer can say “if you find a better price we’ll give you your money back” knowing full well they are the only ones carrying that specific treadmill or elliptical.
If you’re thinking of finding it cheaper somewhere else, it’s probably used or stolen. Next, the Horizon T700 is most comparable in price, specs, and features to the Horizon T72. The T82 and the T700 have the same maximum speed, incline, running area, horsepower, weight capacity, and warranty.
The main differences are programs, shock absorption, and Etrak. The T82 has a few more programs, and if you don’t find using the programs to be such a big deal, I would ignore this difference. If you walk, the shock absorption will not make a shred of difference.
The Horizon T72 and T700 both possess well designed frames and shock absorption systems. But if you do jog or plan on jogging, then I would probably go with the Horizon T700.
That said, Horizon treadmill is one of the best values you will find in the budget class. If you are considering getting back into shape and want to lose some extra weight these machines will do the job.

I especially like the speakers to hook up my MP3 Player while working out–Now I would not purchase another treadmill without this feature. The User Workout Tracking System is nice too. I don’t think the Heart Rate Sensors work very well. We had some difficulty putting this together b/c the holes for screws were not exactly in the right place.
